About
In this project, initiated from my own fear of death, I investigate how a theme that is often avoided or silenced can still be made visible and open for discussion in a calm, sensitive and human way. Death is something everyone will encounter sooner or later, but which is often difficult to talk about in daily life. Fear, grief and uncertainty cause the subject to be quickly pushed away or kept silent. Yet that silence also raises questions: how can we deal with mortality, loss and the fear that comes with it?
This project departs from that personal search and tries to create space for reflection and recognition. Not by presenting death dramatically or heavily, but precisely by paying attention to vulnerability, tranquility and human connection. Through image, atmosphere and imagination, it explores how death can be approached not only as an ending, but also as part of life.
The intention is to create an environment or experience in which people can pause for a moment with feelings that often remain hidden. The project invites gentleness and openness, without imposing answers or taking away fear. Instead, it wants to show that sharing that fear and acknowledging mortality can also be comforting.
In this way, the project attempts to carefully break through the taboo surrounding death and enable a more human and accessible approach.
